Follow Up Newsletter from AOBA on Merger

The following newsletter was distributed to members by AOBA 12-18-13:

Dear AOBA Members,

The memberships of AOBA and ARI have spoken and the merger of these organizations was approved through a special election.  The resulting Alpaca Owners Association (AOA) will now serve current and future members.  We are excited about the possibilities because we believe merging these organizations gives us

the best chance to meet future challenges and accomplish more for our members.

The outcome of the election does not change the many challenges and opportunities identified through feedback during the election process.  The industry and member expectations have changed and are continuing to change.  We now have the opportunity to work together as a single organization - better equipped to adapt and serve the entire alpaca community in the future.  This is an exciting time and there is much work to be done to accomplish this goal.

As you can imagine a great deal of work is going on behind the scenes as our organizations are merged.  In the weeks and months ahead we will continue to provide updates to the membership.

As members of the last AOBA Board of Directors on record we are looking forward to supporting the transition and the newly elected AOA BOD.

Sincerely,
Dianna Jordan, President
Tom Petersen, Director
Scott Miller, Vice President
Karen Dunn, Director
Julie Delaney, Treasurer
John Ferrante, Director
