A gentle stroll along the riverbank followed by a glass of something chilled to hand - what could be better when it comes to winding down after a week at work?

Add in a herd of friendly alpacas and a swathe of countryside surroundings in pretty Yarm and you might just have the recipe for the perfect Friday evening activity.

If you ever wished you had a pet to walk or are on the search for something a little different to do to get in the mood for the weekend, alpaca farmer Debby Watt has just launched a brand new ‘Fizz Friday’ experience at her Teesside alpaca farm.

You can meet the woolly herd, take them for a walk along the riverside, feed them and then raise and glass of Prosecco and relax in the farm’s Low Leven surroundings.

Jerry the pig and a few resident friendly sheep will also be on hand too.

Debby, 46, has been farming alpacas in Yarm for 18 months after buying a herd from a couple in North Yorkshire. She fell in love with them instantly and now has 28 animals in total at the small family run farm which is set in 11 acres. She offers alpaca experiences to adults and children but hit on the Fizz Friday idea after hosting a hen party.
